 Marketing Pitch Competition

The Clark Tank Marketing Pitch Competition was a new addition for Clark Tank added in 2023. Through the generous donation and guidance of Debra Harrsch ’80, the committee implemented the marketing pitch competition as a yearly Clark Tank event. Students will pitch their marketing plan to a panel of alumni judges to win the top $1000 prize.

Upcoming Events: 

Marketing Basics: for all accepted Marketing Pitch folks, March 15 from 1-2pm OR 3-4pm in ASEC413.

Marketing Pitch practice: for all accepted Marketing Pitch folks (optional), April 1, 11-12:30 ASEC202 with Amanda Edson


Marketing Pitch practice: for all accepted Marketing Pitch folks (optional), April 2, 10-12:30 with Amanda Edson

Final Pitch Day, April 4th

  • 6:00 - 6:30pm, Dinner

  • 6:30, Dr. Jordan, Amanda Edson and Teresa Quinn will speak, introduction of judges and sponsor Debra Harrsch

  • 6:45 - 8:15, Pitches

  • 8:15, Award given by Debra Harrsch

  • 8:30 - 9:00, Networking Session

Requirements of Clark Tank participation:

1. You must be a Clark student to participate.

2. You may work in teams or alone.

3. You MUST register for 2 of any of the following workshops (see below) 

4. The third workshop you MUST attend is How to Pitch a Marketing Plan on March 28 from 12:00-1:30pm in Carlson Hall, Room 231.

5. You will attend the final pitch competition on April 4, 2024 from 6:00-9:00pm in the Shaich Family Alumni and Student Engagement Center (ASEC) - Room 202, with dinner and network to follow. The judging panel will consist of marketing professionals and Clark alumni.

6. The American Marketing Association (AMA) will mentor you throughout this process to ensure you have all the tools to deliver an outstanding pitch!

Applications are accepted starting January 23, 2024 and closing March 22, 2024 - 11:59 pm (ET). Notification of acceptance to Clark Tank is ongoing and you will be noticed of acceptance within 3 business days.

Prize money, of $1,000, is awarded to the top marketing pitch.
